What is Flash?

Flash is a multimedia program with graphical animations created mainly to be used in websites. They are vector graphical hence size can be adjusted without any loss. Vector graphics are more suitable for websites as they are light weighed. Web developers use flash to make interactive content, animations, movies, games and much more. Flash animations normally used to decorate websites by making home page intros, banners and menu buttons. Even flash animations are mostly used now a days they have their restrictions and not advised to use for websites which has more traffic. Besides search engines crawlers can not read flash, it can not be optimized and read by search engines. Some more disadvantages are, flash get loaded slower than HTML.

Flash Guidelines

• Unique names should be for each and every layers so that to identify them easily.
• If you are making any specialized flash presentation make use of sounds and graphics.
• If there is any drawing which has to be moved individually, make those in different layers.
• If the background has to be filled, an outline should be drawn and then only you can fill.
• When using a shape tween, delete the original and insert the key frame at the end.
• If need to insert a shape tween, picture has to be changed at end of the tween.

Flash Design Tips

• An unique presentation and should be made with creativity and not by imitating others.
• Should have a catchy and important message, which should be related to the content.
• Readable Graphics with comfortable moments means should not either be fast or slow.
• Colors and Images should be used suitably, which should be connected with the content.
• Lat and Least is as make the animation very short and sweet with crystal clear expressions.
